Gill parasites seasonal prevalence and mean intensity (monogenean, digenean metacercaria, Trichodina species and myxosporeans) in Oreochromis niloticus and Cyprinus carpio fry and fingerlings were re-corded at El-Khairy Fish Hatcheries, Egypt. Albendazole (1.0 mg/l for 24 h) and Copper sulphate (0.5 mg/l for 24 h) were used for treatment of monogenean gill parasites (Dactylogyrus species) in naturally infested fish. Dactylogyrus species prevalence and mean intensity on the gills after treatment were recorded, as effi-cacy percentage of these antiparasitic drugs. The clinical signs observed on the naturally infested fish with Dactylogyrus species, Gyrodactylus species, Trichodina species and Myxobolus species were recorded. Fish naturally infested with Heterophid encysted metacercariae showed nervous and gill damage. The highest seasonal prevalence and mean intensity of Dactylogyrus species, Gyrodactylus species and Hetero-phid encysted metacercariae on the fish gills were recorded during summer season. The highest seasonal prevalence and mean intensity of Trichodina and Myxobolus species were recorded during winter season. Prevalence and mean intensity of Dactylogyrus species on the gills of naturally infested fish, after treatment with Albendazole was lower than that obtained after treatment with Copper sulphate..
