The Euroleague for Life Sciences (ELLS) is pleased to announce the first Scientific Student Conference to take place at the University of Hohenheim on 5 – 6 No-vember 2009.

    * to provide a forum for undergraduate and graduate students to present re-search papers and to receive critical feedback from peers and experts in their field

    * to enhance networking among students and teachers of the ELLS partner uni-versities

    * to promote an interdisciplinary dialogue

    * to enhance mobility between the partner universities

The first ELLS Scientific Student Conference will focus on the impacts of climate change and global change, adaptation processes and mitigation measures. It will include five thematic sessions, two guided poster sessions, a workshop on student mobility and a panel discussion with ELLS rectors. All sessions will be introduced and chaired by prominent senior academics.

In addition to the scientific sessions there will be a market place with information on study programmes and on topics for master theses at all ELLS universities as well as a cultural programme for all participants.

The ELLS Scientific Students Conference welcomes BSc, MSc and diploma students of the Euroleague partner universities to present a research paper or to participate in the conference as audience member.

Please find below a form for the submission of papers (Deadline: 20 July 2009). All authors are asked present a poster, for each session 4 or 5 participants will be selected to give an oral presentation.
